New every morning!

A sister shared a simple illustration during today's discipleship class which I tot was quite meaningful... hee.. trying to be as accurate but have also added in some "salt & vinegar" =p

It goes something like this...

One day a child was doing her artwork... painting on a piece of paper that her father has given her.

She was enjoying the process.. but after a while... she gave up.

Sadly.. she handed the paper back to her father and said, "I give up... I don't want to paint anymore.. Sorry dad.. I have messed it up..."

The father looked at her and said, " Child, here's another piece of paper. Let's try again together".

Our lives are like pieces of papers given to us to paint.

What do we do with it? Paint a beautiful pic? Or end of the day.. like the child, we can only say "Sorry God.. I have messed it up..."

Many times.. our piece of paper become strained.. torn and tattered..

We hurt.. we get hurt... we fail Him.

But the hopeful part is.. our loving Father will readily hand us a new piece of paper and says.. "Let's try again together!" He will not give up on us if we have a willing heart. =)

Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23
